Year 12 Higher Education, UCAS and Apprenticeship evening

It is well recognised that students find the transition into Year 13 a challenging yet rewarding experience, as not only do the students have to focus on their studies, they are also making huge decisions about their next steps.  This may be university, apprenticeship or employment.

In order to best prepare students and parents/guardians, we invite all parents and guardians of Year 12 students to a Sixth Form Information Evening. The last one took place on Thursday 14th May 2026 from 5.30pm to 7.00pm at Chipping Sodbury School Drama Hall. The next one will be in May 2027.

A speaker from the University of the West of England and the Heads of Sixth Form gave advice on the application process for both UCAS and post year 13 apprenticeships. They discussed how to finance your child through higher education. School staff were available to answer any questions.
