Year 10
It is very important to think about your post-16 studies before you get to Year 11. What are your interests? What subjects do you enjoy? Which ones are you good at? Do you have an idea of what career you would like to pursue? Or if you would like to go to university, or instead apply for an apprenticeship?
When you get to Year 11, you will have some big choices to make about what you do post-16: Will you go to Sixth Form? Or choose a different post-16 route? What will you study?
If you don’t know yet what you might go on to study, that really doesn’t matter nor make you unusual. But researching your career routes is essential. Below are some useful websites to help you with this:

These websites are full of advice and information about routes after Sixth Form —find out what you need to study now to get on the course or apprenticeship which interests you. The UCAS site includes apprenticeship information. The Uniguide compares the student experience at universities—results, employment, social life, etc.

Year 10 Information Evening
We hold an Information Evening for Year 10s to get an idea of what post-16 study is all about, and how you can explore your choices. The last one of these was held on 17 June 2025 and the slides can be found here.
